Hi Chris, thanks so much for taking the time out to do this interview.

Can you please tell readers about your background, and how you got involved in investing?

Thanks for having me. I grew up in Hong Kong and then the UK, and started investing at 16 in September 2008 – certainly an interesting time to get started!

I studied Economics at Oxford University and after college joined Goldman Sachs Asset Management in London where I was a member of the investment team for the Global Equity and International Small Cap funds. I moved to New York in 2016 to do my MBA at Columbia Business School and was very fortunate to join the Value Investing program.

I launched my fund shortly afterwards, continue to be based in New York today. I’m happily married now and am in the US permanently.

Why did you decide to launch your own business? And who do you manage funds on behalf of?

I was incredibly lucky that I met Joel Greenblatt when he was a professor at Columbia and I was a student. Joel was very generous with the time he spent with me and helped me get started.
